Draft, requires legal review before production use
This document was written from what the running system actually does: the edge gate, the database and its row level security, and the third party requests these pages make. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Anything that is a business decision rather than a fact about the software is marked in place rather than guessed at.
Marketplace rules
Marketplace rules
What a listing on DrivenMemory may and may not claim, what is prohibited outright, how third-party products must be represented, and how to report a problem. These rules exist so a buyer reading a listing can trust that dishonesty is at least against the rules, since it cannot yet be impossible.
Who is who
DrivenMemory operates the marketplace. Companies publish listings and are responsible for them. Buyers contact a company through an enquiry; any reply happens by email, outside DrivenMemory. No payment passes through the marketplace, and DrivenMemory is not a party to any agreement between buyer and seller. DrivenMemory does not verify listings, Passports, or seller identities, and nothing on the marketplace currently claims otherwise.
Listings must be accurate
- Describe what the product actually is and actually does today, not what it might do later.
- The Agent Passport (what it connects to, what it can access, at what level) must reflect the product's real behaviour.
- If the product is a configuration, a template or a service delivered by people, say so; do not present it as autonomous running software if it is not.
- An estimate is an estimate. Outcome figures may only be presented as calculations from stated assumptions, never as promised results.
- Do not claim guaranteed results, guaranteed accuracy, guaranteed uptime or guaranteed compatibility.
Rules for AI products in particular
- If the product needs a third-party account, API key or subscription to work, the listing must say so.
- If the third-party provider charges separately for that access, say so; do not present a product as free when using it requires paid third-party usage.
- Availability, pricing, access and usage terms of a third-party AI service are determined by that provider, and a listing must not promise them on the provider's behalf.
- Do not claim access to another company's private systems or data, and never request or handle credentials without the explicit, informed authorisation of their owner.
- Do not present a model, assistant or platform you did not build as your own product.
Third-party names and brands
Naming a third-party product to say what yours works with is fine; that is what the name is for. What is not allowed:
- Claiming or implying that a third party endorses, sponsors, certifies or partners with you, unless you can show a written agreement that says so.
- Using the word official for anything the third party has not made official.
- Using another company's logo or brand assets in your listing without permission from that company.
- Impersonating another company, in a listing, a company profile, or a handle.
DrivenMemory itself follows the same rule: the ecosystem directory refers to external platforms by name, links only to their official websites, displays no third-party logos, and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any platform it lists.
Prohibited outright
- Illegal products or services, or listings that facilitate illegal activity.
- Malware, spyware, stalkerware, or anything designed to steal credentials, tokens or personal data.
- Scams, fraudulent offers, phishing, and deceptive claims of any kind.
- Products whose purpose is harassment, surveillance of individuals without consent, or targeting of private individuals.
- Content that infringes someone else's copyright or trademarks.
Reporting a listing, content or a company
Three routes, all real:
- On a listing: the Report this listing control on the listing page files a report (signed-in, so reports are accountable).
- In the community: the Report control on any thread or reply.
- By email: hello@drivenmemory.com, including for intellectual-property complaints or if you cannot sign in. Describe what you are reporting, where it is, and why.
A report is stored with its reason and is visible to you and to platform administrators, with a status that changes when it is handled. Content that breaks these rules can be removed and accounts can be suspended. Moderation is a small team and is reactive: nothing is proactively reviewed before publication, and no filter pre-approves listings.
Needs a decision: response-time commitments for reports, a formal appeal route beyond replying by email, and the written moderation policy behind removals. The mechanism exists in the product; the policy is a decision, not code.
Consumer law
Sellers must honour the consumer protection law that applies to them and to their buyers. DrivenMemory does not provide legal advice to sellers and does not determine which law applies to a given transaction, because the transaction happens outside the marketplace.
Changes
These rules change as the product does. They carry a version and the date they were prepared, and material changes should be announced rather than quietly published.
